We are delighted to invite you to a special one-time screening of Hambre, a powerful Venezuelan feature film, at Ritzy Cinema in Brixton — presented by Balkong Studios and Vannel Productions. Join us for a unique evening with a Q&A and an open discussion about the film and the complex situation Venezuela has faced in recent years
Part of the funds raised through the screening will support humanitarian and cultural projects in Venezuela.
Synopsis:
In a Venezuela deeply affected by crisis and mass migration, two former schoolmates are forced to confront life-changing decisions. Roberto, a committed idealist working at the transportation ministry, insists he will never abandon his homeland. Selina, living and working illegally in Italy, dreams of stability and considers marrying for residency. When Roberto receives a promising job offer abroad and Selina finds herself unexpectedly stuck in Venezuela during Christmas, both must choose between staying to rebuild their country or facing the uncertainties of life elsewhere.
